  • 40:52: Closing Remarks - Dr Paul Zei

Chaired by Paul Zei (Boston, US), this symposium explored the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in optimising complex atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. Dr Zei introduced AI-driven mapping with Voltaplex, focusing on its data collection and annotation capabilities. Stavros Mountantonakis (New York, US) presented a de novo persistent AF case using Volta AF-Xplorer and GE Cardiolab, demonstrating AI’s role in identifying dispersion sites for targeted ablation. Devi Nair (Jonesboro, US) highlighted a case integrating pulsed field ablation (PFA) with Volta, sharing insights from an APHRS abstract on improved procedural efficiency and AF termination rates.

The faculty discussed the impact of AI on ablation strategies, minimising unnecessary lesions and enhancing workflow precision. The panel addressed patient selection, lesion durability, and AI’s role in refining procedural order for optimal outcomes. Concluding remarks emphasised AI’s potential in electrophysiology, integrating real-time data for personalised, outcome-driven ablation strategies.
