Treating a 57-year-old patient with paroxysmal AF, the operators demonstrated single-catheter mapping and ablation using the VARIPULSE system, showing how real-time Tissue Proximity Index (TPI) supports confident catheter–tissue contact and targeted lesion delivery. The pulmonary veins were successfully isolated within minutes, with the panel discussing considerations including irrigation strategy, avoiding overlapping electrodes, haemolysis risk, contact assessment and the implications for redo procedures.
