Session 1.8 – Case & Discussion: Imaging in Action: Concomitant LAA Workflows with TEE and ICE

This session, chaired by Julian Chun (Frankfurt, DE), features recorded cases by Devi Nair (St. Bernards Heart & Vascular, Jonesboro, US) comparing workflows using Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) versus Intracardiac Echocardiography (ICE) for concomitant procedures. Devi Nair demonstrates how pre-procedural CT planning influences transseptal puncture site selection to optimize sheath orientation for both PFA and LAA closure. Panelists David DeLurgio (Atlanta, US) and Rodney Horton (Austin, US) share their techniques, discussing the utility of double transseptal punctures to avoid catheter interaction and the nuances of device sizing when discrepancies exist between CT and echo measurements.
